Join us for our newest summer camp, the Wise and Wonderful Week!

This is a camp for those of us with a few or a lot of grey hairs.  A chance to rest and relax and enjoy all that Camp has to offer.  Catch up with old friends and make new friends, some of you have been a part of the fellowship of Koinonia for many years and others are just joining us for the first time but all are welcome this week providing they are over the age of 55.

Family camp offers your family an opportunity to vacation at Haines Lake while enjoying great fun, good food and services, excellent spiritual teaching and fantastic fellowship. A chance for your whole family to grow in your walk with Jesus Christ.

This camp is quickly becoming a new tradition at Koinonia, one not to be missed!

Speaker: John Blackman

John has been pastor at Renaissance Baptist Church of Brooklin since July 1st 2002! He’s married to Janine and they have three daughters and many grandkids. When it comes to preaching, John likes to think that beyond answering the hard questions of life, the Bible actually provides the right questions to have answered! He is fond of both reading and road cycling. He is also a vintage audio fan and is probably too fond of his dog Bernice. Decades ago he attended what is now Tyndale University and Seminary where Andrew was once in the same dorm!

Program Director:  Benita Black

Benita has had the honour of being connected to Camp for fifty years as a Family Camper, baby-sitter dishwasher, Teens’ Camper, head cook, Womens’ Weekend Camper and Speaker and hopes to be here for another fifty! She lives in Toronto, and is the mother to four grown (and MOSTLY flown) children. These days she keeps company with her dog, Moose Tracks the Mutt, enjoys puttering in her little garden, and considers cooking, eating and sharing food among her favourite activities.
