Statement of Faith
All corporation, board and staff members of Koinonia Inc. join together in affirming the following statement of faith.
A condition of continued employment and membership is the ability to accept the statement.
Koinonia Inc. believes that:
The Scriptures of the Old and New Testament are inspired by the Holy Spirit and is the final authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
There is one God, existing through all eternity in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and became incarnate through the virgin birth. Jesus Christ is fully human and God in the same person.
Jesus Christ lived a sinless life. He was crucified as a substitute for all people because of our sins. We affirm His bodily resurrection and ascension into heaven, where He is interceding for every believer.
Jesus Christ will return personally, visibly and bodily, in power and glory, and his Kingdom will have no end.
By virtue of our fallen nature, and regardless of our best efforts or intentions, humankind is helplessly disconnected from God. Yet “God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners” (Romans 5:8). “God loved the world so much that He gave His one and only Son so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but will have everlasting life” (John 3:16). “there is no condemnation to those who belong to Christ Jesus’ (Romans 8:1). “there is salvation in no one else. God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12). Through repentance and personal faith in Jesus Christ sins ARE forgiven and fellowship with God restored. This salvation is wholly a work of God’s grace, and can be received by faith alone.
The Holy Spirit dwells within all believers, enabling them to live a holy life, to witness and work for Jesus Christ.
The Church, the Body of Christ, consists of all true believers.
The Believer will be resurrected and spend eternity in fellowship with God.
