In November of last year, we launched a two-year campaign called “COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS” as our way of reaching out to the Camp family to celebrate 65 years of ministry. We wanted to hear from you about the ways that Camp has blessed your lives, as an individual Camper or a family. Here are some of our responses….

“Ooodles of new friends! Tonnes of Encouragement to Stay the Course! Loads of Much-Appreciated Stillness and Reflection! Glimpses of what the Kingdom of God is all about!”

“Thanks for a couple of enjoyable Thanksgiving Camps!”

“For our children, it also provided a stable reference point and for some their acceptance of Christ. For all, a deepening of their Christian faith. It also provided a work and service opportunity and lasting friendships. All this has been true for some of our grandchildren.”

“Many blessings through the years in the way(s) of: good teaching; good examples of faithfulness, times of healing and the loving, safe atmosphere to allow it to take place; a safe place to nurture my son and now my granddaughter; great music (singing); great food; all in and surrounded by God’s creation.”

“The obvious, my parents met, got engaged and took their family there for the past 60 years. Camp is my forever home. Having lived in different homes and
different cities, Camp has been my one constant. I love the place and cherish the people.”

“I am very thankful for Camp Koinonia. I first went to camp in the late sixties with a youth groupfrom St. Johns Anglican church Dixie(Dorothy Reeves was my youth leader)/ I accepted Christ as my Saviour at Senior Teens (prayed with Evelyn Smith) I was assistant cook 1 year and after I was married(1971) my husband Rick and I and our2 young children attended a couple of family camps- 1 year with a group of families from Trinity Anglican church Mississauga(Earl Gerber -pastor). I have attended a few board meetings in the past and have seen Rob and Liz Wormald a number of times over the years(attended teens camp with me). We have lived in Ancaster for 25 years and currently attend a wonderful evangelistic, mission minded church in Hamilton. I often pray for Koinonia -usually as camping season begins. Koinonia has had a major influence in the lives of people of all ages. I’m sure many, many people have come to know Jesus through its ministry. I always think of camp (and the tall pine tree by the lake) when I sing How Great Thou Art. I enjoy getting camp news letters and am happy to send a donation re:”Count Your Blessings”. “

Sincerely
Lea Jefferson (maiden name – Jackson)

“Koinonia has given me the deep pleasure of grand children who share, with much laughter, the fun and freedom of their experiences. They seem very happy and comfortable with deepening their relationships with God and each other.

Loving leadership is one of Camp’s great gifts. Thank you for all you have given.”

Gratefully, Betty Gracie

To-date, along with these wonderful responses, our
Campaign has raised over $30,000 or nearly 60% of our
accumulated debt.
